Mike Greenwood

Mike is an award-winning content expert in radio, TV and online, specialising in arts, science and education. An experienced commissioning editor and strategy consultant, he works with cultural and public service organisations to reach a variety of audiences.

He worked for many years as a BBC Producer and Editor in local and network radio and TV. Whilst Commissioning Editor for BBC Education for Adults he devised popular educational content and led multi-disciplinary teams to deliver major social action campaigns and seasons. His work frequently involved developing partnerships with external organisations.

As Commissioning Executive for Culture Online, Mike was responsible for innovative digital projects that enabled cultural organisations to exploit the potential of new media. He was Director of Digital Services at Creative & Cultural Skills (a Sector Skills Council) where he led the development of web-based resources to build skills in the creative industries. He advises cultural organisations on the development of their digital offer and capabilities.

He is variously, Independent Producer, Editor and Presenter of a range of programmes on BBC Radio 4, and makes films and digital audio content for organisations as diverse as UK Parliament and the Open University. He is a guest Lecturer in Journalism at City University, a Trustee of the Woodland Trust and Vice Chair of Governors at a local school in London.
